- Super crisp and articulate. But that Top is pretty THIN making these beauties quite responsive at lower volumes. They have a light whispiness to them.
- Old school Vintage 1970s lathing. Glorious patina dries them out perfectly. Amazing in the studio.
- The Top cymbal weighs a very thin 573 grams (that's THIN, even for a 12") and the Bottom cymbal weighs 946 grams. The sound is a perfect EARLIER NEW BEAT tone but being 12"s they have a more responsive, slightly darker, soulful, dirtier, more focused and organic tone than Special Recording Hats or modern New Beats. But they're not as thin and dark as the paper thin 40s and 50s models. They're semi-dark and project better than the small 40s/50s 12" Hats. They cut quite nicely without giving up tone!
- Tight. Crisp. Dry. Very responsive. Quick attack and controlled decay. Great 70s light Motown style tone. Famous New Beat CHICK. And they’re from the first 15 years of New Beat production!
