Very Rare DAVID GARIBALDI Sabian Jam Master Hihats 13” 926 1226 g REVERSIBLE! ARTICULATE

Holy hell! You never see these beauties!   They were hard to find even when Sabian did produced them. 

And they are reversible! Yes indeed! That is how they were marketed 2 decades ago.  And it works. They have two completely different tones depending on which cymbal you put on top. 

These rare 13s” have all of the top of the line HH Style Craftsmanship of the David Garibaldi 22” Ride.

Sabian 13” Signature David Garibaldi Jam Master Hihats.  

Sabian described these hihats as:

“David Garibaldi Signature Jam Master Hi-Hat Cymbals feature a warm, funky sound that is crisp and solid. These reversible hi-hats have clean, tight penetrating power.”

And that indeed is accurate. 

The key words here are crisp, solid and tight. 

Weighing in at a lovely 926 and 1226 grams, these rare 13s” espouse the time-honored New Beat Medium Top with a Heavy Bottom philosophy for and extremely clean and pronounced CHICK. 

But  of course these are actually Hand Hammered 13s! 

The thinner hihat has a flatter profile and that gives these lower pitch when played on top. They’re surprisingly dark with lower leanings and have a very dark crisp HH sound. 

Put the 1226 gram cymbal on top for an extremely crisp and bright tone that cuts a mix beautifully. They still have that famous HH Hand Hammered warmth to them.  

Fantastic shape with no issues! Great golden patina dries them out perfectly! 

David Garibaldi has to cover a lot of styles in a night, so it comes as no surprise that these Signature 13s” cover a lot of bases. 

Damn near impossible to find. A hell of a lot of fun to play.  As musical and inventive and the man who inspired them.
