  • This 16” Ozone costs $300 new but there is no reason to pay all that money for a guess at a stock photo.  You can hear this exact cymbal so that you can buy with confidence.  

  • And this particular Sabian AAX OZONE 16” is very dark sounding - it is fast but also darker and lower in pitch - it could even pass as an 18”.  

  • Perhaps this cymbal's holey nature inspired Sabian to dedicate this beautiful 16” to the swiss-cheese-like layer of gas that shields us from the sun's hostile radiation.
  • I've even read that the anemic ozone layer has bulked up in the past few years, perhaps due to this Sabian’s tireless lobbying and stalwart dedication to the atmospheric sciences.

  • Regardless, this 16” OZONE Crash is as thin as the gaseous layer above our heads.

  • It weighs in at a lovely 893 grams and plays like a PAPER THIN, Complex Crash. And also like our ozone umbrella, it is filled with holes. Factory produced holes, which the gas layer did not come with.

  • And this 16” Ozone Crash is as trashy as all the garbage that ruined the atmosphere in the first place. AND it's very DARK sounding. As dark as the tan we'll all get when that thin ozone layer disappears...
