Sabian PROTOTYPE 2002 13” Sound Edge X-Celerator Hihats 821 1147 g CLEAN CRISP

What the hell?   These are kinda’ crazy!!  I have never seen this before.  

Sabian PROTOTYPE 2002 Alloy Sound Edge style X-Celerator Hihats in 13s”!!  

And they do indeed have that crisp and clean sounding Paiste Sound Edge-like tone.  But they’re Sabians!
And Sabian did a damn nice job on these custom 13s”!

821 and 1147 grams combined with the classic rippled Sound Edge bottom cymbal lend a great bone-crunching CHICK to this Prototype pair.

Now add the quickness and fast articulation of 13s” and you have a unique pair of Sabian Prototype Hihats that is very fast and Paiste-like.  

Without paying that Paiste price.

Bright and dark overtones present. Clean, crisp, articulate cutting attack that works beautifully in a mix.  

No issues.  Light use.  Great shape. It is a lot of fun to play something unique!
