Vintage Paiste SOUND CREATION 22” Dark China 2366 g Rare SUPER CLEAN From 1978!

Here’s a nearly impossible find cymbal immortalized in ECM recordings: The Vintage Paiste SOUND CREATION 22” DARK CHINA at 2366 grams. And it’s the cleanest one I’ve ever seen. 

From 1978. It’s like a time capsule. 

Clearly this is what Paiste was modeling when they made their 602 Modern Essential 22”….for $726. 

But here’s the ORIGINAL DARK CHINA. The Sound Creation series is famous because they were unlike anything Paiste had ever done before…or since. Amazing for a studio because it captures that elusive sound. 

I’ve only seen 2 or 3 of these in my lifetime. 

This one is magical…and incredibly clean for its age.
