It is one of the THINNEST 22” Zildjian As you’ll encounter. A 1960s Zildjian 22” CRASH weighing only 2076 grams. You’ll climb a mountain of Vintage 22s” before you find an actual THIN CRASH. I know because I’m a cymbal mountain climber, and it takes me many seasons with a rucksack of LUCK to find one.

As you can see and hear, this is not your typical 60s 22”, it has a crash shaped bell and profile and it plays like a 1960s RINGO style 18” Crash - just in a glorious 22”. Most cymbals from this era are 800 grams heavier than this light one. Whatever thin ones were produced 60 years ago were slaughtered mercilessly during the hair metal bacchanal of 1987.

Somehow, this one survived. Makes the most amazing Light Complex Ride - incredible main or Left Side Ride for jazz. Very complex for an A 22” of this era - but not surprising knowing how thin it is.
