Here’s an intersting BRILLIANT FINISH PROTOTYPE Sabian Low Bell Dry 18”.

As you can see this one-off does not have a designation and never did - it ONLY has the Sabian stamp and logo.

It’s a finely lathed Brilliant Finish 18” with a fairly low profile bell that gives it terrific control and a shorter, fast decay.

Surprisingly dry for a fully lathed, Brilliant Finish 18”.

Weighing in at 1456 grams this 18” Sabian Prototype plays like a semi-dark Fast Crash. It has a very strong attack that cuts quite well and then the wash dissipates fairly fast.

Medium Thin weight and Medium low in pitch.

Brilliant Finish gives it a smooth, darker glassy tone.

If you have a light touch this Prototype can double as a Semi-Dry smaller CONTROLED Brilliant Ride.  The stick definition is surprisingly strong with a subtle chime-like attack.

Perfect for low to loud volumes depending on what position it plays on your kit. Makes a killer TIMBALE cymbal.

No need to spend $150 more for a regular-ass big box store cymbal. Prototypes are a lot more fun to play.
